Entebbe pip Rwenshama

Entebbe won only their second Uganda Premier League (UPL) match of the season as they edged fellow relegation strugglers Rwenshama 2-1 at Nakivubo on Friday.

Ali Adam and Hussein Mubiru scored Entebbe’s goals while Farouk Kalinzi netted the visitors’ consolation.

Entebbe, who lost their coach Matia Lule when the aforementioned threw in the towel over unpaid wages recently, have now moved one place up to 15th in the 16-team league. They have nine points from 14 matches.

The result also saw Rwenshama, who left the bottom of the log after a 2-1 victory over Lweza on Tuesday, return to abyss with just eight points from 14 games.

Entebbe have now managed just two wins, lost a massive eight and drawn three while Rwenshama have won the same number of games as their day’s tormentor, lost 10 and drawn two.
